If they improve, we say so and if they go down hill, we also say so and hope they will improve for the next review. We do try and and give everyone a fair shake and re-review companies all the time - not just once. It is also true it is a book of opinions. We experience everything as a tourist would. We pay for everything we do and and include in the book. It is true that our books are written by local residents and all the research is done unannounced (anonymously) and without any free-deals for us. (which we expect to do in the next week or so.) We give that to our readers in hopes that they will see how much has been changed and maybe pick a new copy for the other new information it contains. All the resorts were visited again and we're happy to say many improved, and all the existing owners of our book will be able to access those reviews without buy a new book, simply by going online and reading the new reviews once the new book cover has been posted. Hawaii changes and we have to keep up and be current. People asked if the new Maui book is different than the existing one? Of course it is or why do a new book? Not only do we look at the companies again, we also include new companies, restaurants, places to stay and material. So rather than disappoint people, we only let them know when they can actually buy a book. We get so many e-mails asking for advance copies and we don't have any available - even to us - until they land at our warehouse.
